Polish Roots – Maps

This is a good website to help you find maps and land information about your ancestors. It has descriptions of many villages (in English) outlined in Slownik Geograficzny, translated by William F. Hoffman, from the Polish Genealogical Association of America.

It also has West Prussian Land Record indexes from 1772-1773, which includes surnames of land owners, the town and county, as well as film # where the record can be found.

The website also has maps from different time periods and different areas of Poland.
