From Poland to Minnesota
Genealogy Research

Purpose

Our primary focus is to provide resources to research your ancestors who came from Poland and settled in Minnesota.

  • Poland areas of focus are: Silesia, Galicia, Kashubia, Poznan and Russian Poland.
  • Minnesota areas include 28 counties and over 80 communities within those counties.

We welcome your input on any part of this project – we know that many PGS-MN members have additional content that we have not captured. The more information we can share, the better we can help each other in our common goal of compiling our Polish family histories!

Please contact From Poland to Minnesota Project Leader Paula Colwell at project.leader@polandtomn.pgsmn.org with your input, questions, or comments.

THANK YOU

Thanks to the PGS-MN members who provided extensive content to PGS-MN newsletters from 1993 to the present. Their work is of great value to PGS-MN members of today and many generations ahead.

Thanks also to the Project Team that compiled the information for this initiative. Your many hours of hard work are greatly appreciated:
