The Lac qui Parle County Catholic Churches are in the Diocese of New Ulm.

The parishes of St. James in Nassau and St. Joseph in Rosen were in communities that were primarily German. However, the founding members came from the area of Flötenstein in West Prussia, which now Koczała in present-day Poland.
